Hi!  I'm Bram, the founder of Static Line.  I'm our keyboardist and lead vocalist.  I'm 17, and a senior at Pioneer High School.  I've been playing piano for roughly 11 years and quit lessons in the spring of 2003 in order to pursue a more personal course of musical composition.  I've been singing since kindergarten.  I draw my compositional influences mostly from Broadway, rock, baroque, and ragtime, and all of these "characters" of music show up in my band compositions as well as my other music.

Static Line is my own creation, founded after I quit a first band mid-sophomore year.  Part of the "point" of our band is that the keyboard is as jammable an instrument as the guitar, bass, or drums.  My main keyboard equipment consists of a Roland XP-80 and a Crate KX-50 amp.  Read more about all that on the Behind the Music page.

The band is a big thing for me, but I do have a life outside of it.  My other big hobbies are theater - I'm looking to pursue a career in acting - and thematic musical composition - I'd like to write a film score or musical someday.  I also like Les Misérables (obviously), biking, running, Dark Forces, archery, watching war movies (I'm a WWII buff, I admit it), model railroading, just chilling with friends, and TECHING SHOWS!  Yay!  Go tech!  (Just to prove there's somebody out there who doesn't hate the "other side.")

If you'd like to get in touch with me, feel free to email me at  I also have a personal web page about Dark Forces editing (including the famed and completely unrelated Random Quote List).  Check it out and tell me what you think!
